Objectives of the Association

The Constitution of a union is a direct reflection of that union. When the constitution centers on the membership and, the policy of "one man one vote", it can be said that it is truly a democratic union, that union is AMFA The Constitution of AMFA provides democracy to the membership and protects the right s of its members both individually and collectively. One of the main objectives of the association is to protect and promote the interests of our profession, to raise the recognition of aircraft technicians. The difference in AMFA is that this union was created and designed to support and promote our profession and to protect the rights of the members in our class and craft. We are professionals we take pride in our work and believe in our profession. It is our responsibility to promote and protect interests of our profession and our member

The objectives of the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association AMFA are stated on page 1 and 2 of the AMFA Constitution. Here are a few of those objectives
  1. To raise the standards and increase recognition of the aircraft technicians.

  2. To promote the interests of the profession and to safeguard the rights individually and collectively of the members of the association.

    AMFA's constitution with its checks and balances, along with a membership Bill of Rights (section 9 pg. 5&6) ensures the membership rights of democracy will be protected and their profession shall be promoted by the association.

  3. To safeguard with ceaseless vigilance, the safety of the air transportation
    industry in recognition of the high degree of public interest, confidence, and responsibility placed on the members of the association.

  4. To stress safety first.

We are professionals and by using our skill and our knowledge we promote our craft and ensure the well being of our membership and our profession. AMFA recognizes the great responsibilities placed on the members of the association and seeks to gain recognition and fair compensation for the Aircraft Technicians, and Support personnel. When you read through the Objectives of the Association you will see that these objectives were set in place to serve you the membership.
