Who Supports AMFA? AMFA2000 pdf File AMFA supporters are leads, technicians, inspectors and utility workers looking to make a positive change for our profession. AMFA supporters are active as well as furloughed employees who have come to the conclusion that the IAM is beyond repair. We are UAL employees and IAM members who are tired of living under the concessionary pattern of the IAM. We are members of the Mechanics and Related class and craft who are tired of watching our co-workers lose their jobs to contract maintenance facilities without even a squeak from the IAM. We are IAM members who are tired of seeing our profession take a back seat to dues collection and union politics. Paid IAM supporters have been banging their drums in an attempt to dissuade the UAL membership from voting for change. High ranking IAM officials have even visited Indianapolis recently, although not a single representative made a visit to Indy while thousands of members were losing their jobs. One thing has become painfully clear to the IAM; AMFA is growing and is a threat to their income. The IAM will stop at nothing to protect its dues machine. Half truths, unsubstantiated facts and outright lies have become the tool of choice for paid IAM supporters in a last ditch effort to protect their Union Positions. AMFA supporters on the other hand seek to educate and inform the membership about the benefits of AMFA representation and the importance of our profession. Our motto "SKILL - KNOWLEDGE - INTEGRITY" is a reflection in the pride and dedication AMFA supporters have to being aviation professionals.
