Can you sign a card on probation?
Yes, all mechanics and related can sign a card. The signer's
name will be kept confidential even though it is illegal to
harass, penalize, give preferential treatment or retaliate against
an employee on the basis of union choice.

What will my dues be?
2 times your hourly BASE pay, not including license, skill,
shift, line, longevity, lead or inspector premiums, etc.

What percentage of the dues
money remains in the local?
60% of your dues money remains in the local as compared to 20%
at most other unions.

What happens after we file?
Ballots will be mailed to all effected employees homes. 50%
of the membership must vote. Of the ballots returned, a simple
majority will determine the winner.

What happens when AMFA wins?
The current organizers will form a transition committee to organize
elections. You will elect local committee members and if the
contract is not settled, you will elect a negotiator for contract
negotiations.
